Podcast Discussion: Digital Portfolios and Student Ownership

This podcast expands on the ideas presented in my publication by exploring how digital portfolios can transform students from passive recipients of grades into active owners of their learning. Through a conversational discussion, the podcast highlights the importance of reflection, goal setting, metacognition, and documenting growth over time.

My innovation plan focuses on implementing digital portfolios within a blended learning environment to promote student ownership, increase engagement, and provide meaningful opportunities for students to monitor their academic progress. Rather than serving as a digital storage space for assignments, digital portfolios encourage students to think critically about their learning, celebrate their growth, and set goals for continuous improvement.

This podcast is intended for K–12 educators, instructional coaches, school leaders, and graduate students interested in learner-centered instruction and purposeful technology integration. It complements my publication by presenting the research in a more accessible format and offering practical ideas educators can adapt in their own classrooms.

After listening, I'd like to invite you to explore my publication, review my innovation plan, and visit my digital portfolio demonstration to see how these ideas can be implemented in practice.
