👋 Welcome to my first blog post!
This marks the beginning of my journey into creating a professional ePortfolio—a space where I can reflect, grow, and share my work as part of the Applied Digital Learning (ADL) program. Moving from Google Sites to Webador has been both exciting and eye-opening. I wanted a platform that felt more like me—something simple to use, but polished enough to showcase my creativity and growth as an educator.
My First Steps
1️⃣ Exploring My “Why”
Before I built anything, I thought about why I wanted this site. My goal is to have a space that showcases my journey as a teacher, coach, and lifelong learner, where others can find inspiration, classroom ideas, and honest reflections.
2️⃣ Choosing Webador
I wanted something that didn’t require endless tinkering but still looked modern and organized. Webador’s templates were simple enough to customize without feeling limited. I liked that it offered.
3️⃣ Setting Up Structure
I mapped out my pages before building:
-
Home – My introduction and teaching philosophy
-
Portfolio – ADL projects, lessons, and tech tools I’ve applied in my classroom
-
Blog – My reflections and growth throughout the program
-
About Me – My background and contact information
💡 Joys
Seeing my site finally come together felt real. I loved being able to customize it without stress and organize my work in a way that truly represents who I am. Watching my progress in one place motivates me to keep improving and adding more.
Each page I create reminds me how much I’ve learned through the ADL program and how technology can empower us to tell our stories in meaningful and innovative ways.
😅 Frustrations
Some of the formatting tools can be a little limited—I found myself wishing for just a bit more control over spacing and text placement. It also took a few tries to get my images aligned exactly how I wanted.
Still, those small frustrations are worth it when I see how far I’ve come from using Google Sites. Every challenge has been a chance to learn something new, and that’s what this process is really about—growth through learning and creating.
🌟 What I’m Most Proud Of
I’m proud that I took the first step. This ePortfolio feels like my space—a blend of my creativity, teaching philosophy, and digital learning journey. It’s not perfect (yet), but it’s mine, and that’s what matters most.
Building this site reminded me that progress doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to be purposeful.
✨ Final Thoughts
If you’re starting your own ePortfolio journey, remember this:
👉 Start messy, learn fast, and refine later.
Don’t wait until everything is perfect—just get it out there. Each update you make becomes part of your story and your growth as an educator.
Every post, reflection, and project is another step forward. And that’s exactly what this space is for—celebrating progress, not perfection.
